How to sail a ferry
  • Keyboard — ↑ and ↓ ease the throttle up and down, and it stays where you leave it. ← and → are the rudder. Space is the horn, which achieves nothing.
  • By hand — hold the pointer on the fjord and drag. Left and right is the wheel, up and down the throttle.
  • Alongside means parallel to the lit quay, a few metres off it, under five knots, and holding still for a moment. The readout goes green when you are there.
  • The rock is not a quay. Touching it costs points and takes the way off her, but she floats on.
  • Today’s route is the same for everyone today, and the first complete sailing is the one that counts. Copy the result and bother someone with it.
  • Every route has a number, and its link goes straight back to that exact fjord. This is the one page on the site that ships a library, and it is about forty times the size of the other games. FYI.
